Emergency repairs to new homes over the festive period

Repairs to your home continue to be covered by Lovell. 

Please be advised that Lovell will be closed for the festive break from noon on Tuesday 23 December – returning Monday 5 January 2026.

If you have an emergency repair during this time, please call Lovell's out of hours service on 0800 022 4026.

If, for any reason, you are unable to get through to Lovell then please phone Melville's switchboard on 0131 654 2733 and select option 1.

Definition of Emergency

A fault which causes a threat to safety includes burst pipes, gas leaks, electrical failure, security problems, failure of heating or hot water.

Please note:  Lovell require a contact telephone number to arrange access prior to visit to property for emergency repairs.
